We follow British Curriculum

Our course of study is drawn from various educational resources, the content of which is aligned with the attainment of the target prescribed by the British curriculum. The curriculum is framed in a way that balances both knowledge and skills. Starting from kindergarten and continuing until grade 8, our curriculum covers a broad range of academic subjects which enable the students to develop fluency in English, Arabic, and a choice of regional language. Strong emphasis is placed on English, Maths and Science in which our students prepare for external exams such as the British-based IGCSEs, O and A level exams.

Fusion of Montessori and EYFS in Our Kindergarten

We boost children’s learning in our Kindergarten through an innovative program that is a fusion of the Montessori area of learning and the traditional system of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Creativity, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking are our highlights.

Creativity, problem solving and critical thinking is encouraged across all areas of study and across all grade levels. Students are evaluated based on their scholastic and co-scholastic activities through a continuous and comprehensive evaluation program.

Our curriculum values and finds a right balance between skill and knowledge in equipping children for their lives and make them future learners.

Curriculum and Programs

Child Centric and Activity Oriented

Rigor for learning starts straight from our kindergarten programme which is created with a fusion of Montessori and EYFS syllabus, a British formulated system that is child centric and activity oriented.

Learning through Observation

“Learning through observation” is our motto in Kindergarten. We provide a safe environment where our children can solve problems and make predictions by observing objects and people around them and by relating it to what they already know.

Reading, Writing and Numeracy skills Ready

Before they start primary schooling, they are equipped with skills in reading, writing and numeracy. Finding a balance between academical, physical, social and emotional development is an integral part of our early childhood education.

Important Bridge for children

We see lower primary years as an important bridge between the fundamentals grasped in the Kindergarten and the more meticulous concepts being taught at upper primary and strive to make the transition easy for our children.

Wholesome Curriculum

Our curriculum comprises core subjects like English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies along with choice of regional languages, Arabic and French. We also have specialist teachers for delivering Quran and Islamic Jurisprudence. Physical Education and Yoga are a part of the school curriculum to cater to the emotional and physical well being of our children. Moreover the students are well acquainted with the Language Lab, Science Lab and IT Lab.

Context Based Learning and Problem Solving Skills

Across every subject we place an emphasis on independent learning using a range of creative methods to engage our childrens enthusiasm. We make sure children can put what they are learning into context and develop their problem solving skills.

Develop Curiosity, Independence and Lifelong Learning

In the upper primary, students continue learning in an engaging, explicit environment developing natural curiosity, increasing independence and encouraging lifelong learning. The students explore subjects in more depth making use of the facilities and resources in AMIS under the guidance of our expertise faculties.

Right Environment with Right Faculty

Our outstanding teachers create a learning environment in which students are pushed to extend and challenge their learning, foster a desire to learn as well as increase respect for self, others and the environment. All children are encouraged to take risks and develop intellectual confidence in a safe and happy environment.

Best Possible Transition to Secondary Education

Students in these years learn the full range of subjects within the curriculum through a comprehensive and continuous evaluation programme where their scholastic and co-scholastic skills are assessed and are trained for Cambridge-based International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Our teachers personalise the teaching experience to your child's needs and abilities, achieving the best possible learning outcomes as children progress through upper primary school. We ensure that the standards achieved, prepare them for the best possible transition to their secondary education.
